Abakus B4 to C Mount Adapters

These NEW Abakus Adapters interface between B4 mount lenses and C-mount cameras

This range of Abakus Adapters enables the use of the full range of B4-mount video lenses with new high quality c-mount cameras.

Due to the purpose designed optical quality of the lenses within all the Abakus adapters, there is no loss of picture quality.

The lens optics within each of the adapters have been purpose designed to integrate with specific camera blocks

The front of each adapter has a rugged integrated stainless steel B4-mount which fits onto the rear of B4 video lenses

There is an integral rotatable collar, with locking screw, to accommodate the screw thread of the camera's c-mount.

The rotatable collar allows the B4 lenses to be orientated correctly to maximise picture quality.

The rear of the adapters interfaces perfectly fit with the cameras c-mount.

Optional lens & camera support bracket available.

Mechanically they are easy to use.

B4-mount lenses can now be used on C-mount cameras including everything from 100:1 zoom lenses to super wide angle lenses like the Abakus Stadium lens

Abakus Super-16 Lens Conversion Kit for Zeiss 10-100mm T2 Zooms

Due to the sad demise of Optex, Abakus now directly supply the kit which allows you to hard-mount your existing Zeiss zoom lens in a standard Arri PL mount. This kit converts the zoom lens to Super-16, 12-120mm T2.4. Replacement zoom and iris scales are supplied as standard with the kit. The advantages of the kit is that the macro facility are still retained and vignetting problems are eliminated.

Abakus Super-16 Lens Conversion Kit for Cooke Varo- Kinetal 9-50mm, T2.5 Zooms

This conversion kit allows you to hard mount your Cooke zoom lens in an Arri PL mount. The kit converts the 9-50mm to Super-16 10.8-60mm, T3. Replacement zoom and iris scales are supplied as standard with the kit.

Abakus B4 to JVC adapter

This high quality optics allows B4 mount lenses to be used on the JVC GY-HD series cameras with 1/3", 3-chip detectors. The adapter does not change the focal length of the lens, but compensates for the different glass blocks in the 1/3" camera compared to the 2/3" cameras. This is essential to achieve high definition quality.

Abakus 132 Converter Product Code 120

This is for the direct optical conversion of 2/3" video lenses into super-16 format. The stainless steel B4 mount at the front of the unit fits onto the rear of B4 mount video lenses. The rear of the unit interfaces with super-16 cameras using an Arri PL mount. Between the mounts is a system of high quality optics, so there is no loss of quality. The unit maximises the use of video lenses for cine super-16.

The Abakus 132 is now available with a C-mount instead of PL mount for use with C-mount super-16 cameras or others with a similar image size. See above

Abakus 260 Converter Product Code 726

Used for the direct optical conversion of 2/3" video lenses into super-35 format. The stainless steel B4 mount art the front of the unit fits onto the rear of B4 video lenses. The rear of the converter interfaces with 35 mm cine cameras using either an Arri PL mount or a BNCR mount. This new Abakus product was developed to maximise the use of the huge range of video zoom lenses (e.g. 100:1 zooms for 35 mm film cine. In addition large-format, high speed digital cameras can be used for slow motion and action replays with the use of the Abakus 260 converter.

Abakus x1.33 and x2 Range Extenders Product codes: 623 & 622 . Abakus x1.33 and x2 Range Extenders enable Abakus C-mount lenses to be used on 1/2" cameras as well as the usual C-mount three chip1/3" cameras This unit increases the range of available cameras that can be used with C-mount and thus the flexibility of lens equipment.

Abakus Anamorphic Adapter Product Code 507

This lens is designed for use with miniature single chip cameras, sometimes referred to as "lipstick" cameras. These cameras normally take 4x3 format pictures, but the addition of the Abakus Anamorph adapter enables the camera to take 16x9 format pictures with no loss of quality, so there is no need for post production formatting. This saves time, money, and loss of picture quality.

The Abakus Anamorph is ideal for any situation where a small lightweight or discrete camera is needed. The small size of the lens enables its use in sporting events e.g. tennis line calls, goal posts, in racing cars or in a variety of "reality TV" situations.

The Abakus Anamorph has a push fit interface, secured with grub screws, which fits most types of "lipstick cameras" e.g. those with front lenses with diameters up to 14.5mm diameter and with focal lengths greater than about 5.5mm for 1/3" format. The small size (20 mm long and 26 mm diameter) is in keeping with the size of the miniature cameras.
